Afternoon Tea

On Thursday July 27 th NEDWA members and partners gathered at Shirley and David Gill’s for afternoon tea but for the first time since their inception the tea was inside due to rain.

Shirley’s cakes are renowned and today she excelled herself and made up for the lack of sunshine.
It was the first NEDWA occasion since the death of our Treasurer Angela McSherry and glasses were raised in her memory.
Our thanks go to Shirley and David for hosting yet another enjoyable tea.

Memory Walk

A MEMORY WALK IN AID OF

ALZHEIMER’S FRANCE

Come and join us for a walk to raise money for this year’s charity.

We will be meeting on Tuesday, 19th September 2017 at 10.30 a.m. at the Etang du Coucou, 24390 Hautefort

The walk will be approximately 5kms (taking about an hour) starting at the lakeside restaurant/parking area. We will walk a little way around the lake and then head up into the lovely surrounding woodland and countryside with good views of Chateau de Hautefort. We finish back along the lake to the restaurant/parking area.  The walk will be led and there will be a ‘sweeper’ to make sure no-one gets lost or left behind.

The walk is on grass and tracks and you will need good, sensible shoes and suitable clothing for the weather. Guests and well-behaved dogs (on a lead around the lake please) are welcome.

€3 per person

If you wish to raise additional money through sponsorship by friends and family please ask us for a form.
